Nigeria Supreme Court New Legal Year - 72 legal practitioners become Senior Advocates of Nigeria

 


Today, Wednesday 8th December 2021 marks the commencement of a new legal year for the Nigeria supreme court.

The Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, swore in 72 legal practitioners who were recently elevated to the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).

The main Courtroom of the Apex court in Abuja is where the ceremony took place. Out of the 159 senior lawyers that applied for the rank during the year, only 72 made it to the list, of which 10 were academic appointees and 62 advocate appointees.
