Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu-No Amount Of Intimidation Can Stop Me

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said no amount of intimidation will make him to drop his 2023 presidential ambition.

He stated this during separate visits to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, in Oyo town and the new Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, in Ibadan, yesterday.

At the palace of the Ibadan monarch, Tinubu, who recently declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential poll under the platform of the APC said: “No amount of intimidation can stop me. I am ready to get dirty. I am out to become President of Nigeria. We are at a crossroad.”

At the palace of Alaafin, Tinubu said: “I cannot embark on a project of such magnitude without seeking for prayers and cooperation of traditional rulers.

I am here today to inform our fathers of my decision to run for the position of the president of this country in 2023. What I need from our highly referred traditional rulers is their prayers and cooperation.

“Today, by the special grace of God in Yorubaland, unlike before, we have a vice president, minister of works, interior and sports, but we still need more.”

Oba Adeyemi, who was joined by 10 monarchs from the 10 local governments in Oke-Ogun zone of Oyo State to receive Tinubu, showered royal blessings on him, saying all the ancestors of Yorubaland would work in his favour and answer his prayers.

Tinubu said he visited the Alaafin and Olubadan out of respect for the two traditional institutions and to seek their blessings, prayers and cooperation for him to realise his ambition.

At the palace of Olubadan, Oba Balogun said: “We have known you and we know your antecedents as a progressive. You laid the foundation of ‘Today Lagos.’ You are the leading light of Nigeria. You contributed to make Nigeria what it is today.

LIFE FACTS-TAKING CARE OF THE ELDERLY. A MUST READ!

• Written by Janet Odidi Obuotor for:    echoblog-ger.blogspot.com Taking Care of The Elderly a MUST! We all have one or more elderly people in our lives. We all hope to grow to a "ripe" old age.  So many prayers, dreams and aspirations for long healthy life.  Let us go practical now, ageing does come with some needed assistance no matter how strong or healthy you are. Who are the elderly? To some, the elderly are people age 65 years and older. Why others feel 60 years is the ideal age to be classified as elderly.  Whatever you consider the ideal age, what is important is making sure that they get the required care and assistance to make them blossom even in old age.  Care for the elderly can feel overwhelming sometimes because a vast majority of us, have no form of experience or training on what to do. We care but we do not know exactly how to express this care in a way that would be of immense benefit to them. Here are a few tips below on ways to take car...

Visit To Owners Of Auctioned Vehicles By Funke Akindele And Jandor - Appalling, Says Lagos APC

Funke Akindele  The visit to persons whose vehicles were recently auctioned by the Lagos State government by Olajide Adediran (Jandor) and Funke Akindele, the guber candidate and running mate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) respectively, has been condemned by Seye Oladejo, the APC spokesperson in the state.                                              Olajide Adediran (Jandor) In a statement released on Sunday, he described the visit as “appalling.” See statement below; JANDOR’S DESPERATION IS APPALLING. Our attention has been drawn to the recent characteristic charade of the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos state, Jide Adediran. It’s saddening that Jandor and his deputy, Funke Akindele, have graduated from playing politics with human lives to blatantly encouraging the break down of law and order in our dear state. The visit to citizens who paid t...
