A 'Very Very Influential Woman' Pleaded With Me Not To Give Up Activism, Says Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex today, told the latest episode of her $30million Archetypes podcast for Spotify a 'very, very influential and inspiring' woman pleaded with her not to give up on activism when she married Prince Harry because 'it means so much to women and girls.'

She added that the powerful woman is the reason why she didn't stop campaigning for 'women and girls' after joining the Royal Family.

Meghan says: 'I started to notice this, almost default eye roll, when someone would mention a woman fighting for a cause'. She said critics often think: 'Here she goes again' or: 'Why can't she just sit down?'

Meghan's guest on the podcast were, influencer Jameela Jamil and the American-Iranian star of X-Men and 24, Shohreh Aghdashloo, 70.

The Duchess of Sussex interviewed both women for an episode called The Audacity of the Activist released today.

Meghan however did not mention the name of the woman who spoke to her on the eve of her wedding day - citing 'privacy.
