Governor Chukwuma Soludo And Peter Obi, Seen Embracing Each Other - There Is No Rift Between Obi And me, Says Soludo
On Thursday, the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, and Peter Obi attended the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church thanksgiving mass to felicitate with the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, the Most Rev Paulinus Ezeokafor, who marked his 70th birthday celebration with an Episcopal High mass at Awka.
The two men were seen embracing each other while exchanging pleasantries. Both men hugged each other to the admiration of the congregation, with Soludo welcoming Obi to Awka before returning to his seat.
Governor Soludo insisted that no rift exist between him and Obi, only political differences.
The Governor also denied accepting a bribe to publicly castigate the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.
"There is no rift between Obi and me at a personal level. Nobody snatched each other’s wife. What appears to be the rift between us is fundamental political differences. Nothing else.
“So for those forging blackmail and all that, including the one they said I collected bribe to say what I said, I asked them to bring it so I will use it to construct roads. If Soludo is into bribery, I would have been a multi-trillionaire now,” Soludo explained.
Governor Chukwuemeka Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and present governor of Anambra State, wrote an article last week. In his write-up, he asserted that Peter Obi, the Labour Party Presidential candidate, would never emerge as the president of Nigeria
Soludo also highlighted that Peter Obi’s investment in Anambra is now worth close to nothing.
