Breaking News: The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)- Block Roads To The Lagos International Airport - As They Carry Out Their Threat
Nigerian students on Monday morning, defied the heavy downpour, as they shut down roads leading to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, over the continued strike by the Academic Staff of Universities (ASUU).
Their actions caused heavy gridlock on the road leading to the airport, leaving many travellers stranded.
The Lagos International Airport Road along Oshodi-Oworonsoko expressway is blocked to traffic including air travellers.
The students took siege at the area, chanting Aluta Continua. They carried placards with several inscriptions protesting the 7-month old strike embarked upon by ASUU. They were seen singing solidarity songs, while dancing.
