Kanye West Defend Selling Clothes in Giant Construction Bags, Considered By Some To Be Trash Bags

Kanye West is back in headlines with a whole new vision for the Gap.

Ye's collaboration with Gap features plain black hoodies and T-shirts, the Los Angeles Times noted that Yeezy Gap items range from a $40 keychain to a $340 parka. Before its launch last year, it had been marketed as an affordable clothing line.

Shoppers have shared pictures on social media of clothes from the Yeezy Gap line being sold out of big black bags rather than displayed on hangers.

After critics complained that he was mocking homeless people, Kanye West has defended his decision to display his new Yeezy Gap line in giant bags at GAP stores, considered by some to be 'garbage bags,' or some mistook it to be garbage sacks.

The rapper told FOX News’ Eric Shawn on Thursday morning that he was just trying to challenge conventional traditions in the way we dress and make clothing that's more egalitarian and not pretentious.

Ye did speak for himself;

“Look, man, I’m an innovator, and I’m not here to sit up and apologize about my ideas. That’s exactly what the media tries to do. Make us apologize for any idea that doesn’t fall under exactly the way they want us to think.” Kanye said.

The fashion line was inspired by “the children” and “the homeless,” according to a recent Instagram post by West.

He later added, “This is not a joke, this is not a game, this is not just some celebrity collaboration — this is my life. I’m fighting for a position to be able to change clothing and bring the best design to the people,” he said in response to claims of insensitivity to the unhoused.

  3. But Kanye has a point here. I think he was misunderstood. It is a good thing that he made a clarification.

Music From Universal Music Group Will No Longer Feature On TikTok

Universal Music Group will no longer allow its music on TikTok following the Wednesday expiration of a licensing deal between the two companies. The takedown of UMG-related music began overnight.  Universal Music Group is literally the largest record label ... in the history of the music industry,” said Andrew Mall, an associate professor of music at Northeastern University. An “uncountable number of tracks and sounds” would be impacted on TikTok, he added, significantly limiting options for creators." The expiration of licensing between UMG and TikTok arrived after the two companies were unable to reach a new agreement — and soon shared heated exchanges. In a Tuesday letter addressed to artists and songwriters, UMG said that it had been pressing TikTok on three issues: “appropriate compensation for our artists and songwriters, protecting human artists from the harmful effects of AI, and online safety for TikTok’s users.” UMG said that TikTok proposed paying its artists and songwr...
