COVID-19 Vaccine-Moderna Sues Pfizer-BioNTech For Patent Infringement


A Pharmaceutical war indeed as Moderna accuses Pfizer and BioNTech of patent infringement.

Moderna indicts Pfizer and its German partner, BioNTech, of copying technology that it developed prior to the pandemic in producing a COVID-19 vaccine.

A lawsuit has now been filed by Moderna against the two drug companies, on Friday. 

The lawsuit, which sets the stage for a massive legal clash between between Pfizer, a global pharmaceutical titan, and Moderna, a start-up biotechnology company based in Massachusetts was filed in U.S. District court in Massachusetts as well as in Germany.

Moderna is seeking an unspecified amount in damages over the alleged patent infringement.
