NAF Succeeding Against Odds

The Chief of Air Staff (CAF), Air Marshal Isiaka Amao while speaking during the First International Conference on Data Science and Engineering by the force held at the Air force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Kaduna.

Amao, accredited the successes recorded by the force to its human resources, technical and logistics support.

He said that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been succeeding despite the challenges it has faced in recent times.

The two-day conference was held with the theme ‘Embracing Digital Transformation.’

Represented by the Chief of Staff, Air Training Command, AVM Emmanuel Chukwu, Amao said data science and engineering was very imperative to the force.

He said: “NAF will focus on valuable opportunities to develop its human resources in technical and logistics support for efficient deployment of air power in battle against crime in Nigeria.

“Pervasive computing in aero space military intelligence is an integral part of the Nigerian Air force operations."

"The international conference on data science and engineering is in response to the dynamic and complex nature of security environment, which requires application of computerised gadgets for easy and efficient sensor, processing and transmission of security information.”

In the last year, the NAF boss has taken bold steps to reposition the force for greater performance.

FG Advises Nigerians (Especially Students)-Don’t Travel to Northern Cyprus

The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, in a press briefing on Thursday, at the State House in Abuja. Advised Nigerians especially students not to travel to Northern Cyprus. Northern Cyprus, officially the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, is a de facto state that comprises the northeastern portion of the island of Cyprus. Recognised only by Turkey, Northern Cyprus is considered by the international community to be part of the Republic of Cyprus.
