POLITICS TODAY-Clash Of The Adelekes'

Dele Adeleke's Governorship ambition has continued to cause a scene in the household of the Adelekes'. Nigerian music star Davido has continued to call out his cousin. 


Davido's cousin, Dele Adeleke recently purchased the nomination form from the People's Democratic Party to contest the Governorship position in Osun state against his uncle Ademola Adeleke.

In a series of tweets shared via his Twitter page on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, the music star vowed to frustrate his cousin's ambition.

Davido's tweets below: 

"Because of your ambition you have your people write about me (which I don't care ) but to include the death of my mother in an article ... same woman that raised you...@deleadeleke001 ok na .. Dele God will reward you," he tweeted.

"The truth hurt you that much you had to go that low to mention YOUR AUNTY VERO that cared for you .. well... I don open my crase for the year @deleadeleke001 stay tuned NEW MUSIC 2MORO!"

The award-winning singer also revealed that his cousin is running for office from the same house his father gave him.

"Worst of all this Nigga really doing all this from the house my father gave you! Audacity! Disrespect me! (I don't care) But my FATHER my MOTHER Never! DELE I WILL STRESS YOU! We go meet for field,'' he vowed.

Dele's political ambition is seen as a clash of interest by the Adelekes'.

Ademola Adeleke, Davido's uncle, ran for the Governorship election in 2018.

He however lost to the present Governor, Oyetola Gboyega. A supreme court ruled in flavour of the Governor.

The Coronation of King Charles will take place on May 6. National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS Vows To Extend Protest

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, yesterday halted activities at the Murtala Muhammad Airport, Ikeja, in protest against the continued strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, which has kept students at home for over seven months. The students’ body also vowed to extend the protest to the Apapa Wharf and Tin Can Island ports and the Third Mainland Bridge today. On February 14, 2022, ASUU commenced a strike action to protest the Federal Government’s failure to meet the demands of its members.  Amongst which is the non fulfillment by the Federal Government of an agreement it signed with the government in 2009 on Earned Allowances and replacement of Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, IPPIS, and University Transparency and Accountability Solution, UTAS.
