BREAKING NEWS-Ernest Shonekan Dies at 85

One time Nigerian Interim leader, Ernest Shonekan dies at 85.

He was the interim head of the Nigerian government between August 26 and November 17, 1993, before he was ousted in a coup led by late General Sani Abacha.

Chief Ernest Shonekan was head of the interim National Government that succeeded the junta of General Ibrahim Babangida.

Shonekan died at Evercare hospital, in the Lekki area of Lagos state, at the age of 85.

Chief Ernest Adegunle Oladeinde Shonekan GCFR (9 May 1936 – 11 January 2022), titled Abese of Egbaland from 1981 (in addition to a variety of other chieftaincy titles), was a Nigerian lawyer and statesman who served as the interim Head of State of Nigeria from 26 August 1993 to 17 November 1993.

The CBN Governor Drops Presidential Ambition: Godwin Emefiele withdraws suit against INEC, AGF

The Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on Monday, withdrew the suit he filed against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Attorney-General of the Federation over his presidential ambition. This development was made known via Godwin Emefiele's counsel, S.T. Maliki to Justice Ahmed Mohammed. Shortly after the matter was called, S.T. Maliki made it known to the judge that a notice of discontinuance had been filed and served on the defendants in the matter. Maliki, who held the brief of Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN, said though the matter was scheduled for mention, they had Emefiele’s instruction to withdraw the suit. Maliki said: “Pursuant to the instruction of the plaintiff (Emefiele), we filed a notice of discontinuance dated and filed May 16, 2022 And the said notice of discontinuance was served on all the defendants on that said date of May 16, 2022, which proof of service is before your lordship." I Was Never Served Divorce Papers – Blossom Chukwujekwu’s Ex-Wife Breaks Silence. Maureen Esisi,  who was married to Nollywood actor, Blossom Chukwujekwu, has said that the divorce proceedings between herself and the actor are not final. On Tuesday while engaging in a Q & A session with fans via her Instagram page, Esisi made this known. She was asked, “When did you do your divorce?
