The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, can be seen in the video making the rounds on social media below; being driven towards a private jet. A man with a handcuff then ushers him into the plane.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has revealed that the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, is now in its custody.

They made this known in a statement via the agency’s Twitter handle on Saturday, June 10, 2023

The statement read;

“The Department of State Services (DSS) hereby confirms that Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria is now in its custody for some investigative reasons.


"The public, particularly the media, is enjoined to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning this.”


Well, Nigerians await further clarification on the CBN governor and his purported arrest.
