Breaking! Indefinitely Suspended - EFCC Chairman, AbdulRasheed Bawa

The Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, AbdulRasheed Bawa, has been indefinitely suspended from office by President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The statement read, “President Tinubu has approved the indefinite suspension from office of AbdulRasheed Bawa, CON, as the Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to allow for proper investigation into his conduct while in office. This follows weighty allegations of abuse of office levelled against him.

“Mr Bawa has been directed to immediately handover the affairs of his office to the Director, Operations in the Commission, who will oversee the affairs of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission pending the conclusion of the investigation.”

A New Acting Chairman Has Also Been Appointed By The President.

As Directed By President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, After The Suspension Of AbdulRasheed Bawa, AbdulKarim Chukkol, Will Be The Acting Chairman, Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) For Now.

The  All Progressives Congress (APC) ha s now scheduled it's National Convention for..,. The convention will now hold on March 26, the date earlier slated for the conduct of its zonal congresses. Sen. John Akpankudohede, National Secretary, CECPC, APC said this when he spoke with newsmen shortly after the committee’s closed-door meeting in Abuja on Monday.
