BREAKING: Senator Godswill Akpabio Has Been Elected Senate President

Senator Godwill Akpabio, a former governor of Akwa Ibom State, has been voted for as the Senate President of the 10th Assembly.

The Clerk announced Akpabio as the Senate President having garnered 63 votes leaving his rival with 46 votes.

The All Progressives Congress Party's preferred candidate, was paired with the senator Jibrin Barau, the senator representing Kano South, Jibrin Barau.
