Children's Day is a day set aside to celebrate children all around the world. Children's Day is celebrated in Nigeria, on the 27th of May, each year. It is a day specially dedicated to children.

Children are God's gift, treat them well!

Remember the needy on this special day, and also remember that charity begins at home!

Author Salman Rushdie-Ex wife Renders Support

Padma Lakshmi, ex wife to Salman Rushdie, is supporting her ex-husband in his recovery. On Friday, the famed author, Salman Rushdie was stabbed multiple times while on stage in New York City. The "Top Chef" star tweeted Sunday that she is "relieved" Rushdie is "pulling through after Friday's nightmare."  Her tweet reads: "Worried and wordless, can finally exhale," Lakshmi also wrote in her tweet. "Now hoping for swift healing." Padma. Padma Lakshmi and Salman Rushdie were a married couple from 2004 to 2007. Rushdie, 75, has long been the subject of threats because of controversy over some of his writings, he has faced years of death threats for his 1988 novel The Satanic Verses. Mr Rushdie, was left severely injured after being stabbed on stage at an event in New York state.
