Presidential Election Tribunal-Kenneth Okonkwo, others Represent Peter Obi

Prolific Nollywood actor and spokesperson for the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, Kenneth Okonkwo, has revealed via a post on his Twitter page, the lawyers that will be representing the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the court of appeal.

Kenneth Okonkwo said;

“We have a formidable team of legal luminaries representing #PeterObi. From left is the head of the team, Livy Uzoukwu SAN, Awa Kalu SAN, Benbella Anachebe SAN, Kenneth Okonkwo Esq and a host of other experienced lawyers. May God grant us the wisdom to recover the people’s mandate.”

The pre-hearing of petitions challenging the outcome of the February 25 presidential election commences today at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.

Author Salman Rushdie-Ex wife Renders Support

Padma Lakshmi, ex wife to Salman Rushdie, is supporting her ex-husband in his recovery. On Friday, the famed author, Salman Rushdie was stabbed multiple times while on stage in New York City. The "Top Chef" star tweeted Sunday that she is "relieved" Rushdie is "pulling through after Friday's nightmare."  Her tweet reads: "Worried and wordless, can finally exhale," Lakshmi also wrote in her tweet.
