Hilda Bassey Effiong Sets, A New Guinness World Record For ‘Longest Cooking Time’

The Guinness World Record for the “longest cooking marathon by an individual” has been broken by Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci.

The previous record was held by Guinness World Record holder, Chef Lata Tandon, the cooking lasted for 87 hours 45 minutes, a record time.

On Monday morning, that record was shattered by Hilda Baci after cooking for a record-breaking 96 hours, setting a new world record for the amount of time spent cooking.

Hilda launched into the competition on Thursday at exactly 4 pm when she put on her cooker.

Hilda has garnered massive support from fans, political leaders, celebrities, clerics, and other well-meaning Nigerians.

Breaking News: Senators ThreatensTo Impeach President Muhammadu Buhari

Senators, on Tuesday orchestrated a walkout after demanding the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari. The Senators mainly of the minority party expressed serious concerns over the worsening insecurity in the country. After a two hour closed door section, by the senators; the senators were angry that the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan did not allow them to discuss the issue of insecurity that was deliberated upon extensively in the closed session. The Senators across party lines later  addressed journalists and gave Buhari, six weeks to end the insecurity in the country or face impeachment.
