Nigerian superstar, singer, Tiwa Savage is engraving her brand in history as she is set to perform at the historical coronation of the British monarch, King Charles III.

The coronation of Charles III and his wife, Queen Consort, Camilla, as king and queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 6 May 2023, at Westminster Abbey.

Charles III is King of the United Kingdom and the 14 other Commonwealth realms. 

He is ascending the throne following the demise of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who passed on in 2022.

The coronation concert and Big Lunch will take place on Sunday, May 7, 2023.

Dr Tiwa Savage will join celebrities such as Steve Winwood, DJ Pete Tong, Lang Lang and Lucy, Paloma Faith and Olly Murs, to thrill guests at the coronation concert.

Other African artistes are also billed to perform at the historic event, Tiwa Savage however is the only Nigerian on the list. She is the first Nigerian artiste to receive an invitation to perform at a foreign royal coronation ceremony.

Florence Otedola aka DJ Cuppy, disc jockey and daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, has bagged yet another Master’s degree from the University of Oxford. Declaring her latest feat as a ‘Master of Science’ from the Oxford varsity, the 30-year-old disc jockey wrote: “FINALLY graduated from @UniofOxford … And yes, I am going to make NOISE about it. "Third Degree HOTTER! Queen Elizabeth II Has Died.

Queen Elizabeth II, the UK's longest-serving monarch, has died at Balmoral aged 96, after reigning for 70 years. King Charles said: "We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished sovereign and a much-loved mother.
