AMVCA - Patience Ozokwor Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Nollywood veteran actress, Patience  Ozokwor had this to say after receiving Industry Merit Award, at Saturday’s Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA).

She wrote;

"LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD “When we started in the industry, there was no social media and so many other luxuries we enjoy now. Progress was completely dependent on your talent, humility, word of mouth and trust.

“I appreciate my colleagues who work tirelessly and often times without recognition.

“I appreciate my family who have always surrounded me with love and acceptance. My children sacrificed a lot and stayed long periods without a mother.

She summed up her narration by highlighting that at some point, her daughter became her PA and Associate Manager.

Breaking News: Senators ThreatensTo Impeach President Muhammadu Buhari

Senators, on Tuesday orchestrated a walkout after demanding the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari. The Senators mainly of the minority party expressed serious concerns over the worsening insecurity in the country. After a two hour closed door section, by the senators; the senators were angry that the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan did not allow them to discuss the issue of insecurity that was deliberated upon extensively in the closed session. The Senators across party lines later  addressed journalists and gave Buhari, six weeks to end the insecurity in the country or face impeachment. Senator Phillip Aduda, the Minority Leader of the Senate,  moved a point of order seeking to discuss insecurity on the floor of the Senate but Lawan ruled him out of order.
