Breaking News:Nigerian Music Superstar Davido's Uncle-Senator Ademola Adeleke Wins Osun State Gubernatorial Elections

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke and uncle to music sensation David Adeleke (Davido), has achieved the highest number of votes from 17 of the 30 local governments in Osun State.

His closest opponent, Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won in 13 Local Government Areas.

The Independent National Electoral Commissionin Osun State has officially declared the results.

The results showed that Adeleke obtained 403, 371 votes from 30 LGAs while Oyetola got 375, 027 votes.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won Ede North Local Government, Ede South, Ifelodun, Boluwaduro, Egbedore, Odo Otin, Osogbo, Ila, Atakumosa West, Olorunda, Ilesa West, Obokun, Oriade, Orolu, Ife North, Irepodun and Ejigbo.

While the All Progressives Congress (APC) won Boripe, Ilesa East, Ayedire, Ifedayo, Ife Central, Ayedaade, Iwo, Olaoluwa, Isokan, Atakumosa East, Ife South, Ife Central and Ife East.

Pilots Reportedly Fell Asleep During Flight, As Plane Failed To Descend

According to a report by commercial aviation news site Aviation Herald. On Monday Two pilots are believed to have fallen asleep and missed their landing during a flight from Sudan to Ethiopia. The incident took place on board an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737-800 en route from Khartoum to Addis Ababa, the report said, "when the pilots fell asleep" and "the aircraft continued past the top of descent." Data obtained by the website shows the aeroplane was on autopilot and was cruising at 37,000 feet. Its scheduled destination was Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. It however failed to descend. The event occurred on August 15. Air traffic control were apparently unable to reach the crew despite making several attempts at contact. NLC To Embark On A Strike Action If....

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), national president, Comrade Joe Ajaero, during the African Trade Union Alliance meeting in Abuja. Has issued a threat to embark on a nationwide strike without any notification if the pump price of fuel sells above the current price of N617. Media reports indicated an imminent increase in the price to N720. The NNPC Limited has not made any official announcement of a fuel price increment According to Ajaero, there were purported plans to further increase the pump price of petrol, which he expressed dismay that the development will cause additional and untold hardship on Nigerians.
