Police Service Commission Suspends Officers Indicted In Abba Kyari's Drug Deal

Police Service Commission (PSC) has suspended officers indicted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) along with suspended DCP Abba Kyari. They are Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sunday Ubua, and Assistant Superintendent of Police, James Bawa, attached to the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Force Investigation and Intelligence Bureau (FIIB). The suspension, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Rules 030406, will remain effective until the outcome of the investigation "DCP Abba Kyari, who prior to this allegation was on suspension, shall remain so until the conclusion of investigations”, it read. “The IGP is further requested to inform the Commission of the arrest of ASP John Umoru, currently at large, whenever his arrest is effected.” The letter to the IGP with reference number CB: 4099/FHQ/ABJ/Vol16/151, copied NDLEA Chairman, retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa. Former US President Donald Trump Ordered To Testify To January 6 Committee

Trump subpoena: Former President Donald Trump has been issued a legal summons by the congressional panel investigating last year's Capitol riot.  Trump's lawyers were issued a letter by the nine-member panel, saying he must testify, either at the Capitol or by videoconference, “beginning on or about” Nov. 14 and continuing for multiple days if necessary. The subpoena is ordering Trump to testify to lawmakers. Donald Trump is been accused by lawmakers of  “personally orchestrated” a multi-part effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Chairman Bennie Thompson and Vice Chair Liz Cheney wrote in the letter to Trump: "We recognize that a subpoena to a former president is a significant and historic action,” “We do not take this action lightly.” The document also reads: "You were at the center of the first and only effort by any US President to overturn an election."
