BREAKING NEWS! EFCC Arrests Former Governor Willie Obiano!

EFCC Arrest the former Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano.

The Immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano has been arrested by Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. He was arrested in the night of Thursday March 17 at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on his way to Houston, USA

Willie Obiano who has been on the watch list of EFCC, for a while, was whisked away as he was making his way to board his flight.

EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren confirmed that Obiano is now a guest of the anti- corruption Agency’s office in Lagos. This came after handing over office to the new Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Soludo.

The Defence Headquarters says the military troops have eliminated 30 of the terrorists who attacked troops of the Guards Brigade in the Bwari area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Sunday This was made known at the Bi-Weekly news conference on military operations on Thursday in Abuja, by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Bernard Onyeuko. Between Sunday and Tuesday, troops of 7 Guards Battalion and 167 Special Forces Battalion in conjunction with the air component of “Operation Whirl Punch,” conducted the operation. The terrorists were neutralized and their enclave and hideout destroyed. The troops successfully cleared Kawu and Ido villages. According to Onyeuko, the ground troops also recovered six motorcycles, two AK47 rifles, and one fully loaded LMG magazine amongst others during mop-up.
