BREAKING: Apostle Johnson Suleiman - Convoy Attacked By Gunmen, Allegedly Killing Three Police Orderlies, Four Other Persons.

Earlier today, Friday, gunmen opened fire on Apostle Johnson Suleman's convoy and allegedly killed seven persons including three policemen. The incident occurred along the Benin Auchi Road, Edo State. Three of his police orderlies and four other yet-to-be-identified persons were allegedly killed.  Suleman returned from a foreign trip and was heading to a destination in Edo State when the gunmen attacked his convoy around the Auchi area of the state. Suleman’s lawyer, Samuel Amune, confirmed the attack. He said, “He was returning from a journey and he had almost gotten on the shores of Auchi when some assassins attacked him. Three of his police orderlies, among others died. He travelled before and just finished a programme in Tanzania day before yesterday. “He was returning to Auchi when the gunmen attacked him along Sabingida down to Warake area, and Auchi shares direct boundary with Warake. So, he had passed Warake and was entering the boundaries of Auchi when the attack happened.

FIFA World Cup Fans - Qatar Charters Another Cruise Ship to Accommodate Football Fans

Football lovers are in for a cruise as organizers of the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup in Qatar have chartered another cruise ship to accommodate Football World Cup 2022 guests. The cruise ships will provide more than 1000 rooms to the fans coming to attend the month-long event. The World Cup will begin on November 20th and an estimated 1.5 million people will arrive in Qatar for this event. Doha, the capital city of Qatar has a hotel room capacity of 31,000. This number does not even come close to the number of rooms required for the event. Qatari Organizers are on a war footing trying to arrange accommodations for the fans of the FIFA World Cup, who will start arriving shortly. Among the measures taken are, containerized cabins at the edge of the city, a tent “fan village” on Qetaifan Island, an assortment of apartments, and three chartered cruise ships operated by MSC Cruises to temporarily serve as hotels. The unveiling of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council is being held in the State House, Abuja, With President Muhammadu Buhari presiding over the meeting.  President Buhari is expected to reveal the action plan for the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.  There is very tight security at the venue as guests are finding it difficult to gain access to the venue. The APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, in his welcome address, said with the formal inauguration of the PCC, the party was set to crush all opposition on the way to its victory during the election next year.

Nigerians Stage EndSARS Memorial Walk Along Lekki Tollgate

The 2nd anniversary of the EndSARS protest and the Lekki tollgate shooting, saw Nigerian youths taking a memorial walk down the Lekki toll gate. Some of the youths were carrying dummy coffins as they stage EndSARS memorial walk along the Lekki tollgate. Nigeria music star, rapper Falz and prolific comedian Mr Macaroni were among the youths.                                             Falz The peace walk was however interrupted by policemen who fired tear gas to disperse the gathering. EndSARS - Two years ago, on October 20, 2020, youths converged at the Lekki Toll Gate calling for an end to police brutality. The Lekki Toll Gate shooting occurred, when soldiers opened fire on the End SARS protesters.

Nasir El-Rufai - I Would Have Arrested Peter Obi

Nasir El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State, while addressing the Arewa joint committee, in Kaduna, said that he would have arrested Mr Peter Obi in retaliation of what Peter Obi did to him when he visited the state to monitor an election. In a trending video, El-Rufai alleges that Peter Obi, the former Anambra State governor and the current presidential candidate of the Labour Party, placed him under house arrest for 48 hours in Anambra state during the election. Minister - Recent Flooding, An Overwhelming Disaster

Nigeria's meteorological agency has warned that flooding is expected to continue until the end of November and some states in the south of the country are likely to experience flooding. States like Anambra, Delta, Rivers, Cross River and Bayelsa. Operatives of Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command have arrested one Emmanuel Okoi, 29, suspected to be member of a 6-man robbery gang that robbed a pharmacy and killed one person in Maitaima area of the capital city on Wednesday evening. The Court Of Appeal Discharges Detained Leader Of The Indigenous People of Biafra, The Court Also Acquitted The Embattled Leader Of The Proscribed Group The Appellate Court Says The Federal Government Lacks Jurisdiction To Trial Nnamdi Kanu On Charges Of Terrorism. The Appellate Court held that the Federal Government breached all local and international laws in the forceful rendition of Kanu to Nigeria thereby making the terrorism charges against him incompetent and unlawful. The Appeal Court in a judgment by Justice Oludotun Adebola voided and set aside the charges by the Federal Government against Kanu. Reacting to the judgment, Kanu’s lawyer and human rights activist, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, on his Facebook page on Thursday, said Kanu won at last. “Appeal allowed, Oyendu Mazi Nnamdi KANU, discharged and acquitted. Maitama, Abuja - One Shot Dead As Suspected ‘Kidnappers’ Strike

  One person was gunned down when men suspected to be kidnappers attacked Gana Street in Maitama, Abuja. The incident is said to have occurred at about 8:46pm on Wednesday. According to the Daily Trust,  a resident, who pleaded anonymity, told Daily Trust that the victim was killed while trying to rescue a man that was being forced into a black Prado SUV by the suspected kidnappers. He specifically said the SUV was parked at Number 44 Gana street where the victim was shot in the head by one of the suspects and he died immediately. The source added that the suspects escaped with their victim while the body of the deceased was still on the street at the time of the incident. He added that this is the second incident happening at the same Gana street in the past few weeks. The resident said some persons loitering around the place may be behind the attacks. MTN, Airtel Announce Increase In Rates for Internet Data Plan

  Nigeria's biggest Telecommunication Companies, MTN and Airtel, have made known the increase in data plan prices to subscribers. With about 10 per cent increase in prices for their internet data services. The increase was made public by MTN(@MTN180) and Airtel(@AirtelNigeria) on their verified Twitter pages.  In March 2020, the Federal Government signed the Nigerian national broadband plan 2020-2025 designed to deliver data download speeds across Nigeria with effective coverage available to at least 90 percent of the population by 2025 at a price not more than N390 per 1GB of data. The Government's plan to achieve a 90% broadband penetration by 2025 may be impeded by the recent hike in data prices by telecom companies.
