A Miracle: Passenger With No Flying Experience Lands Plane To Safety After Pilot Fell Ill

When the pilot of the Cessna Caravan suffered an apparent medical emergency, he became “incapacitated," after take off from Leonard M. Thompson International Airport in the Bahamas and the plane was over the Florida coastline, with no co-pilot by his side.

The only available remedy to the severe situation was an unidentified passenger who took over the controls and radioed for help.

An unnamed passenger, with no prior flying skills and who was heading home to see his pregnant wife, decided to have a go at the private plane.

The passenger with no flying experience made a successful landing at Palm Beach International Airport with the help of air traffic controllers.

The unidentified passenger said;

"I’ve got a serious situation here. My pilot has gone incoherent. I have no idea how to fly the airplane,” the unnamed passenger said.

“Roger. What’s your position?” Air Traffic Control responded.

“I have no idea,” the passenger said. “I can see the coast of Florida in front of me. And I have no idea.”

Robert Morgan, one of the air traffic controllers was outside the tower reading a book when they got the call.

“There’s a passenger flying a plane that’s not a pilot and the pilot is incapacitated so they said you need to help them try and land the plane,” Morgan recalled.

The air traffic controllers told the man to keep the wings level and continue up the coast until they were able to find his plane above Boca Raton.

Although Morgan had never flown a Cessna Caravan, he was able to guide the man to land safely by looking at a picture of the cockpit.

“I knew the plane was flying like any other plane, I just knew I had to keep him calm, point him to the runway and tell him how to reduce the power so he could descend to land,” Morgan said.

“Before I knew it, he said, ‘I’m on the ground, how do I turn this thing off?'”

“You just witnessed a couple passengers land that plane,” one of the controllers reportedly said over the radio.

"Did you say the passengers landed the plane?” another asked.

“That’s correct,” the controlled replied.

"Oh, my gosh. Great job.”

Morgan said he met the passenger on the tarmac and they hugged it out.

“It felt really good to help somebody and he told me that he couldn’t wait to get home and hug his pregnant wife,” Morgan said.

Israel To Pump Water From The Mediterranean sea, To Top Up The Sea Of Galilee

The Sea of Galilee, Israel, despite its name, the Sea of Galilee in northern Israel is actually a freshwater lake, and it's one that has sustained life for millennia. Even today, the lake irrigates vineyards and local farms that grow everything from green vegetables to wheat and tangerines. Its archeology, hot springs and hiking trails bring tourism and livelihoods for local communities. But this place of religious pilgrimage — where the New Testament says many of Jesus' miracles were performed — is facing a bleak future, CNN reports. The climate crisis is causing huge fluctuations in the lake's water levels. Now it happens to be fairly full, but just five years ago, it hit a record low. Climate change and unsustainable water management are leaving lakes dried up all over the Middle East and beyond, but the Israeli government is hopeful it has a solution: It plans to pump water from the Mediterranean sea, take the salt out of it and send it across the country to top up th...

The subpoena is ordering Trump to testify to lawmakers. Donald Trump is been accused by lawmakers of  “personally orchestrated” a multi-part effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Chairman Bennie Thompson and Vice Chair Liz Cheney wrote in the letter to Trump: "We recognize that a subpoena to a former president is a significant and historic action,” “We do not take this action lightly.” The document also reads: "You were at the center of the first and only effort by any US President to overturn an election."
