Sue ASUU-Minister Of Education To Students

Man Armed With A Crossbow Told Police He Wanted To “Kill The Queen”

A man who got into the grounds of Windsor Castle armed with a crossbow told police he wanted to “kill the queen,” prosecutors said during a court hearing Wednesday. Jaswant Singh Chail, 20, is charged under the Treason Act with intending to “injure the person of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, or to alarm her Majesty.” He has also been charged with threats to kill and possession of an offensive weapon. Chail was arrested at the royal residence west of London on Christmas Day 2021, when the queen was staying there. Prosecutors allege the former supermarket worker from Southampton in southern England was wearing a hood and a mask and carrying a loaded crossbow with the safety catch off. Emirates Airlines Announces Suspension Of Its Flight Operations In Nigeria

 On Thursday, Emirates Airlines announced the suspension of its flight operations in Nigeria from September 1, 2022. It said the suspension became necessary following its inability to repatriate its funds from Nigeria. International carriers operating in Nigeria have repeatedly complained about their inability to repatriate funds to their home countries. They have raised this concern on many occasions with officials of the Federal Ministry of Aviation, as well as those at the finance ministry. In its statement on Thursday, Emirates Airlines stated that it “has tried every avenue to address our ongoing challenges in repatriating funds from Nigeria, and we have made considerable efforts to initiate dialogue with the relevant authorities for their urgent intervention to help find a viable solution.” It added, “Regrettably there has been no progress. Planned Strike Action By Electricity Workers-Minister Pleads For Two More Weeks To Resolve Grievances

  The Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy-Agba and the management of Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, have been notified of impending strike action by electricity workers in the country via their organised labour, the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE). The strike action is scheduled to commence today. Some of the documents to back the expenses were said to have been eaten up by termites. The Office of the Auditor General of the Federation (OAuGF), in its 2018 audit report – now being considered by the Senate panel chaired by Senator Matthew Urhoghide (Edo South) – had queried the agency over the disbursed sums without appropriate supporting documents. The OAuGF had, in its 2018 audit report, raised 50 different queries bordering on alleged misappropriation of funds against the agency. The Chief of Defence Staff, Lucky Irabor, on Tuesday said those behind the Owo attack have been arrested. Irabor stated this during a meeting with editors and media executives in Abuja. The Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake, renowned for his innovative pleated clothing and for producing 100 mock turtlenecks for the Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, has died of liver cancer in a hospital in Tokyo.
