There was pandemonium as Uche Nwosu, the son-in-law to a former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, was whisked away from a church service at his hometown, Eziama Obieri in the Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State. Today the 26th of December 2021, Uche Nwosu and his family were at St Peter’s Anglican church for a thanksgiving service when the gunmen, who operated in an Armoured Personnel Carrier and Hilux vans, stormed the area. Before taking their target away the gunmen shot indiscriminately. Uche Nwosu's security operatives watched without resisting the gun-wielding persons. Reacting to the strange scenario friends and associates of Uche Nwosu have alleged that he was kidnapped, while some are of the view that his arrest was masterminded by the state governor, Hope Uzodinma. So when you are done mixing the ketchup and mayonnaise together, get your sharwarma bread and rub the mixture on the sharwarma bread. Next you get carrot and cabbage. Then you get your meat, you can either buy beef or chicken. If you like pepper, you can add hot sauce or pepper to the mix of ingredients for the sharwama and then you grate the carrot and cabbage then put it on the sharwarma bread. ISTANBUL (AP) — Turkey froze the assets of 770 Turkish nationals and a Chicago-based foundation, according to a decision published Friday in the country’s official gazette. The list of targets includes 454 people with alleged links to Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, who lives in the United States. The Turkish government accuses Gulen and his network of being behind a bloody coup attempt in 2016. Gulen has denied the allegation. Gulen is the honorary president of the Chicago foundation that had its assets in Turkey frozen. The Niagara Foundation’s parent organization, the Alliance for Shared Values, is a nonprofit of the Gulen movement, which Turkey designated as a terror group. The list published Friday shows 119 other people had assets frozen for links to the Islamic State group, Al-Qaeda, the al-Nusra Front and other alleged “terror groups that abuse religion.” Another 108 people were targeted for alleged links to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party or PKK, which is designated a terror group

Yuletide: FG Declares Free Passenger Train Rides. The Federal Government through the Ministry of Transportation has in the spirit of Christmas declared passenger trains across the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) system free of charge during the period. According to a communique from the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), this gesture is to enable Nigerians to travel and celebrate Christmas. The spokesman for the corporation, Yakub Mahmood, said passengers trains on both standard and narrow gauge lines, which include Abuja to Kaduna, Lagos to Ibadan, Warri to Itakpe, Kano to Lagos, Minna to Kaduna, Abba to Port Harcourt routes are now all free from today Friday 24th December 2021 to Tuesday 4th January 2022 inclusive. Blackout looms as 5 electricity towers collapse in Lagos. Inferno from vandalised pipeline destroys transmission line – TCN No fewer than five electricity transmission tower have collapsed in Lagos State, following an inferno caused by a vandalized pipeline along Isheri Olofin, off Igbando – LASU expressway of the state.  Vanguard gathered that the inferno caused massive damage to 330kV Ikeja-West Akangba transmission line 1, burning off a large portion of the conductor.  The development have forced some parts of the state into total blackout. According to the Transmission Company of Nigeria, this triggered a resistant pull on the high-tension towers along the line route causing five of them to collapse. The Nigerian Army’s decision to punish a female soldier, Hannah Sofiyat Akinlabi, for allegedly flouting its rules and code of conduct has sparked an outrage. Sofiyat accepted a marriage proposal from a male corps member at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in Kwara state. In one of the now-viral videos seen by The Nation, the yet-to-be-identified corps member is seen holding a ring. He knelt to propose to the soldier amid cheers and applause from other corps members in the background. Reacting Army spokesperson, Onyema Nwachukwu had disclosed the detained female officer violated extant military laws by getting involved in a public display of relationship with a paramilitary trainee – a corps member. He explained that the female officer violated the Nigerian Army’s rules and regulations guiding the codes of conduct of military personnel when deployed for duty. Tuesday 21st December 2021, the Nigerian Armed Forces, announced the promotion of 235 officers to the ranks of one and two-star generals in the service. Spokespersons of the three forces, Edward Gabkwet (Air Force), Onyema Nwachukwu (Army) and Suleiman Dahun (Air Force), disclosed this in separate statements obtained by PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday. According to Mr Gabkwet, the Air Force promoted 29 air vice marshals, 31 air commodores and concessional promotion to six airmen. Those who benefited from the concessional commission are one air warrant officer (AWO) and 5 master warrant officers (MWO) who were elevated to the rank of flight lieutenant. Mr Gabkwet said, “the Concessional commission is usually reserved for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) at the twilight of their career years in reward for hard work and in recognition of meritorious service to the Nation.” On the side of the Navy, 21 commodores were promoted to the rank of to rear admirals and while 36 captains were el
