Tinubu was the first donor of money to Kanu Heart Foundation – Ex-Eagles player. Former Super Eagles striker, Nwankwo Kanu has revealed that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s monetary donation helped him kick start his Kanu Heart Foundation. The All Progressives Congress (APC)’s National Leader and 2023 presidential hopeful, touched several lives via his donation.  Kanu revealed this on Saturday, March 19, 2022, when he visited Tinubu to congratulate him on his 70th birthday which comes up on March 29, 2022. Other players at the event include former goalkeepers, Peter Rufai, Ike Shorunmu and Dosu Joseph; former captain, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha; and defenders Taribo West and Uche Okechukwu. The Immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano has been arrested by Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. He was arrested in the night of Thursday March 17 at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on his way to Houston, USA Willie Obiano who has been on the watch list of EFCC, for a while, was whisked away as he was making his way to board his flight. Drama, as Obiano’s Wife Slaps Bianca Ojukwu at Soludo’s Inauguration. Drama ensued on Thursday at the inauguration of Prof Chukwuma Soludo as the governor of Anambra when wife of outgoing Gov. Willie Obiano, Ebelechukwu, slapped Mrs Bianca Ojukwu at the event. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent who was at  the scene of the event reports that the incident occurred immediately after Soludo took his oath of office. NAN reports that dignitaries including Ex Gov Obiano were already seated when Mrs Obiano stepped in and moved to the front row where the widow of Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu was seated and slapped her. The action drew the attention of security agents and some personalities who pulled Mrs Obiano off the hold of Bianca who was visibly shocked at the action. Mrs Obiano was later taken away and shortly afterwards, her husband left the venue since the incident happened after the new governor had been sworn in. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) extended its ongoing strike by two months. On February 14 (ASUU) had declared a one-month warning strike in protest against the government’s failure to meet their demands. The Academy Union held an emergency meeting of its National Executive Council (NEC) at the University of Abuja, yesterday. (ASUU) President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, said: “Having taken reports on the engagements of trustees and principal officers with the government, the union concluded that government had failed to satisfactorily address all the issues raised in the 2020 FGN/ASUU Memorandum of Action (MoA) within the four-week roll-over strike period and resolved that the strike be rolled over for another eight weeks to give government more time to address all the issues in concrete terms so that our students will resume as soon as possible.”

A lady, identified as the wife of the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Abba Kyari, on Monday, fainted at the Federal High Court in Abuja. Reason behind the slump has not been ascertained but eyewitness said she slumped on the ground shortly after trial Justice Emeka Nwite deferred ruling on applications that DCP Kyari and six other persons facing drug trafficking charge with him, filed to be released on bail pending the determination of the case against them She fell on the floor while armed operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, were leading Kyari and the others away from the court premises. He was born in 1809, he is the first African Anglican bishop of West Africa, a clergyman and a linguist. He is a Nigerian and was born in Osogun (in what is now Ado-Awaye, Oyo State, Nigeria). Jussie Smollett has been sentenced Thursday to 150 days in jail for staging a hate crime against himself, the former Empire actor, 39, was taken into custody immediately, screaming as he left the Chicago courtroom. "I'm not suicidal, and I am innocent," he yelled before disappearing through the door. With a fist in the air, he added, "I could have said I was guilty a long time ago." Black Panther director Ryan Coogler was mistaken for a bank robber and briefly arrested at a Georgia bank. Coogler, 35, who was quietly standing at the counter, having passed a female teller a handwritten note asking her to discreetly withdraw the cash from his account.  'Woah, woah woah,' he said, clearly taken aback on realizing he was being apprehended, as an officer orders him to put his hands behind his back.  'You got it, you got it,' he said. Chidinma Ojukwu, is Miss Cell 2022 in Kirikiri Correctional Centre.  The young lady who went viral some months ago over the alleged killing of Super TV boss, Michael Ataga, has now been crowned beauty queen at a pageant at the correctional facility. Ojukwu emerged the winner of the competition. In an exclusive chat with Daily Trust, the National Spokesperson, Nigeria Correctional Service, Francis Enobore, confirmed the news explaining the reason behind the beauty pageant. The spokesman noted that part of the services of the correctional facility is to ensure that inmates are in ‘sound and good spirit.’ Enobore further stated that to ensure that inmates are in a high spirit, the correctional centres engage them in exciting competitions likes; pageantry, cooking competitions among others.
