Breaking News! Area 1 Shopping Complex - Illegal Shops Demolished By The FCTA

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has begun demolition of illegal shops and other structures around the popular Area 1 Shopping Complex on Monday.

The action was reportedly to give the area a new look and improve traffic flow within the vicinity.

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has won the Obio-Akpor, the Local Government Area of Governor Nyesom Wike in Rivers State by a landslide. Tinubu polled 80,239 votes to defeat the Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, who came a distant second with 3,829 and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who got 368 votes.

Erelu Okin Is Sentenced To 27 Months In Prison For Gross Misconduct, over fuel souvenir. Ms. Ogbulu Pearl, a Lagos socialite has been convicted for distributing Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, as souvenir at a party. This conviction was authorized by a Lagos Special Offences Mobile Court sitting at Oshodi. On March 14, 2022, the defendant was earlier arraigned before the court, for the offence of distributing PMS as souvenir during her installation party on March 5, 2022. The offences violates section 251(1), 168 (1), 244 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 and Section 195 (2)(b) of the Environmental Management Protection Law of Lagos State 2017.
