Farmer Found And Rescued After 31 DAYS, Lost In The Amazon Rainforest - "I Ate WORMS"

Jhonatan Acosta, 30, was found last Saturday after exactly a month on his own in the Baures municipality in the southwest of the vast South American rainforest. He became separated from his friends during a hunting trip reports the Daily Mail.

                                Jhonatan Acosta

The 30-year-old cocoa farmer got lost in the Baures-Beni jungle on January 25 during a hunting trip with his friends.

The man was rescued after going missing in the jungle for 31 days.

Acosta said he collected water in his boots and was forced to drink his own urine to stay alive. He also ate WORMS.

He is the longest solo-survivals in the Amazon.

"It's unbelievable. I couldn't believe that people were still looking for me after all this time."

"I ate worms, insects. You have no idea what I had to go through to survive all these days. I thank God very much, I thank him because he gave me a new life."

If confirmed, Acosta could become one of the longest-ever lone Amazon survivors.

Following his miraculous rescue, Acosta said he is now going to give up hunting and dedicate his life to making music for God.

"It helped a lot to know about survival techniques: I had to consume insects, drink my urine, eat worms. I was attacked by animals,' he told Unitel TV.

The Bolivian said he came face to face with jaguars whilst stranded alone, and said he resorted to eating tree roots to make it through the ordeal.

But when the skies dried up, he had to drink his own waste.

'I asked God for rain,' Acosta recounted. 'If it hadn't rained, I would not have survived.'

Disoriented, he had walked about 40 kilometers (25 miles) in search of civilisation, Acosta said, but soon discovered he was going around in circles.

Exposed to the elements at night, he said he was bitten by all sorts of different creatures.

Acosta was reported missing by his family at the end of January. He had been on a hunting trip with four friends in the Amazon rainforest but got separated from the party on January 25.

Although he was missing for so long, his friends and family never gave up hope that they would see him alive again.

Everyday People

About two years ago, one Nigerian government official whom I know visited the United Kingdom.                                    Trees Beautifully Grown In Nigeria  It was that peak period of covid crisis, where many countries had various Covid containment regulations to help reduce the spread.  On the day he was to return to Nigeria, I was one of those who escorted him to the Airport.  When we got to the Airport, we realised that he was supposed to have a Covid test done, and the result uploaded to Nigerian Govt Portal. Also, he was meant to have a day three test in Nigeria booked and have the printed copy of the confirmation of the booking with him as a condition to fly with British Airways to Nigeria.  We arrived at the Airport about 3hrs before his flight departure. This white lady, who was a supervisor with British Airways approached us and requested to see his day three bo...
