Gunmen abduct ex-Edo lawmaker.

Former Edo State House of Assembly member, Festus Edughele, was, yesterday, kidnapped by suspected gunmen in Ubiaja, while on his way from Orhionmwon to Benin City, the state capital.

This is coming three days after 31 passengers waiting to board a train from Igueben station in the Igueben Council of the state to Warri in Delta State were kidnapped by suspected herdsmen on Saturday evening.

Ojota Fracas: Rally turns bloody as Yoruba Nation agitators, Police clash

A rally organised by Yoruba Nation agitators, yesterday, turned bloody, following a clash between the protesters and the Police, which left a yet-to-be-identified man dead, in the Ojota area of Lagos.

Scores of others, among who were two policemen, sustained varying degrees of injuries, while two Police vehicles were burnt.

APC, PDP Presidential Candidates Have Both Reached Retirement Age; We Will Retire Them – Peter Obi Assures Supporters.

If elected president in the February 25 election, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has promised to retire the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Asaba, Delta State, on Monday, Obi pledged to revitalise the Warri refinery, which had been in disrepair, as well as to complete the East-West road, which had been unfinished for over two decades.

Hushpuppi Gets 11-Year Jail Term

Ramon Abbas popularly referred to as  ‘HUSHPUPPI,' has been sentenced to 11 years in prison in the United States. The instagram 'big boy,' will however, spend nine years in prison because he had spent two years already in the US following his arrest in Dubai in 2020. In June 2020, Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai over an extensive fraud scheme that has robbed victims of their money in the U.S, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and other places. In a final appeal to judge Otis Wright ahead of his scheduled sentencing on September 19, Hushpuppi wrote a personal letter to the court narrating his source of wealth, criminal adventure and regrets. Abbas, apologised to his family members for bringing them shame while commending the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for doing a thorough job in bringing him to justice.
