Unfortunately, the search for missing billionaire heiress and kindergarten teacher Eliza Fletcher has come to a tragic conclusion, three days after she was abducted. The cause and manner of death have not been disclosed. The Police Department of Memphis confirmed that the body discovered in Memphis on Sept. 5 belongs to Fletcher. The British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC has given £1.4m to charities associated with Diana, Princess of Wales, as the broadcaster continues to spend millions of pounds atoning for Martin Bashir’s interview with the royal in 1995. Investigations revealed Martin Bashir used fake documents to gain access to the late royal.  The payout represents the total sum received by the BBC from selling the rights to the 1995 Panorama interview to other television channels around the world. Liz Truss will become Britain's next prime minister after winning a leadership race for the governing Conservative party on Monday, vowing to press ahead with promises of tax cuts and to deal with a growing energy crisis. After weeks of an often bad-tempered and divisive leadership contest, Truss, currently the foreign minister, defeated former finance minister Rishi Sunak in a vote of Conservative Party members, winning by 81,326 votes to 60,399. "I will deliver a bold plan to cut taxes and grow our economy," Truss said after the result was announced. Mahmood Mattan, a 28 years old British Somali, a former merchant seaman and a father of three, was wrongfully convicted and hanged in September 1952. Mahmood Mattan was found guilty of killing Lily Volpert in her Cardiff clothes store. He protested his innocence to the end. Mattan, a former seaman who was originally from Hargeisa in what was then known as British Somaliland, was arrested within hours of Volpert’s murder. He was charged and convicted by an all-white jury in a three-day trial in Swansea. This was despite there being no forensic evidence and Mattan having his alibi backed up by witnesses. However, in 1998 after tireless campaigning by his family, his conviction was the first Criminal Case Review Commission referral to be quashed at the court of appeal. The five-part show documentary is a Netflix series which features national parks from around the world, in their natural beauty across five continents. A pilot faces criminal charges after threatening to 'intentionally crash' into Mississippi Walmart. The pilot, who has been identified by police as Cory Wayne Patterson, landed the plane safely in a field in Tippah County, Mississippi, just outside Benton. Music star, Panshak Zamani, aka Ice Prince, was arraigned by the Lagos State Police Command on Friday for assaulting and abducting a policeman in the Lekki area of the state. Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson and the Police Public Relations Officer, in a tweet, said that at about 3am, the artiste was driving to a destination in the state. A police patrol team in the area stopped him, he was driving without a licence plates. Ice Prince agreed to visit the station and one of the policemen entered the vehicle. Hundeyin, in the tweet, said, the artiste, thereafter, abducted the policeman, assaulted and threatened to throw him into a river before he was later arrested.
