Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., American rapper and songwriter better known as Snoop Dogg, says he has had 19 Grammy nominations but won none. The superstar said this before the 64th Grammy Awards kicked off in Las Vegas. In a post on his Instagram page, the 50-year-old rapper wrote,  “Grammys. 19 nominations no wins thanks.” In another video, which he shared on social media, Snoop Dog said,  “Y’all have fun at the Grammys. I guess I’m 0 for 19.” With reference to his 19 nominations since his solo rap career started back in the early '90s. He later asked his fans,  "How do you feel about that?"

At the 64th Grammy Awards, Kanye West won the award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for his song "Hurricane". He was nominated for 4 other categories, including two Best Rap Album nominations for Donda, and the other for Lil' Nas X's Montero; Album of the Year for Donda, Best Rap Song for "Jail". Kanye matches Jay-Z as the rapper with the most Grammy Awards in history. Kanye West officially ties JAY-Z for the same number of GRAMMYs received among hip-hop artists. West won in the best melodic rap performance and best rap song categories. Prolific American actor and Oscar winner, Will Smith has resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences following a slap he gave Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars. The actor, who is facing possible expulsion or suspension, chose to resign instead. The organization said Smith faced suspension, expulsion or other sanctions. Will was given  15 days to provide a written response explaining his actions.  Will Smith, the group said had violated the Academy’s standards of conduct. In a response to the Academy, Will Smith issued a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter on Friday afternoon, April 1. Suspected terrorists yesterday night detonated explosives on the Abuja-Kaduna train and opened fire on about 970 passengers on board. A train carrying over 900 passengers was bombed by suspected terrorists between Rijana and Katari in Kaduna State on Monday night, yesterday. A passenger was reported to have managed and called his relation saying all passengers were lying on the floor as the terrorists were shooting at the train, sporadically. The Kaduna-bound train derailed after explosives believed to be planted on the rail track went off close to Rigasa area of the state. The 6:00p.m. train, which took off from Idu Train Station at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, hit the explosive device about 30 minutes to Rigasa train station in Kaduna at a point between Katari and Rijana community.
