The United State Government has authorized the evacuation of its government employees and their families from Nigeria over potential terrorist attacks. The US State Department announced the approval of the evacuation in its updated Nigeria travel advisory on Tuesday evening. The United States and the United Kingdom had on Sunday warned of a possible terrorist attack in the capital Abuja, especially aimed at government buildings, places of worship and schools, among other targets. The Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele has said the apex bank will redesign three naira notes, the notes are N200, N500, N1000 notes respectively. The new notes will take effect by December 15, 2022. Emefiele, said an approval has been received by the bank from President Mohammadu Buhari to redesign the notes. He said the decision would impact the value of the naira positively. "Therefore, bank charges for cash deposit are hereby suspended with immediate effect.” He further disclosed that over 80 per cent of the total cash in circulation was outside the banking system. “N2.73 trillion out of N3.23 trn exists outside the commercial bank,” he added.

Rishi Sunak has won the race to be the next prime minister. Mr Sunak is the youngest person elected as prime minister for more than 200 years. He is the first British Asian prime minister in the United Kingdom.  Sunak pledges in his first speech to bring his party and the UK together as that would be his "utmost priority". Apostle Johnson Suleman, President of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, after the brutal attack on his convoy on Friday by gunmen, which left seven persons dead, has slammed the police for killing the arrested prime suspect involved in the vicious attack on his convoy. Trump subpoena: Former President Donald Trump has been issued a legal summons by the congressional panel investigating last year's Capitol riot.  Trump's lawyers were issued a letter by the nine-member panel, saying he must testify, either at the Capitol or by videoconference, “beginning on or about” Nov. 14 and continuing for multiple days if necessary. The subpoena is ordering Trump to testify to lawmakers. Donald Trump is been accused by lawmakers of  “personally orchestrated” a multi-part effort to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Earlier today, Friday, gunmen opened fire on Apostle Johnson Suleman's convoy and allegedly killed seven persons including three policemen. The incident occurred along the Benin Auchi Road, Edo State. Three of his police orderlies and four other yet-to-be-identified persons were allegedly killed.  Suleman returned from a foreign trip and was heading to a destination in Edo State when the gunmen attacked his convoy around the Auchi area of the state. Suleman’s lawyer, Samuel Amune, confirmed the attack. He said, “He was returning from a journey and he had almost gotten on the shores of Auchi when some assassins attacked him. Three of his police orderlies, among others died. He travelled before and just finished a programme in Tanzania day before yesterday. “He was returning to Auchi when the gunmen attacked him along Sabingida down to Warake area, and Auchi shares direct boundary with Warake. So, he had passed Warake and was entering the boundaries of Auchi when the attack happened.

Football lovers are in for a cruise as organizers of the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup in Qatar have chartered another cruise ship to accommodate Football World Cup 2022 guests. The cruise ships will provide more than 1000 rooms to the fans coming to attend the month-long event. The World Cup will begin on November 20th and an estimated 1.5 million people will arrive in Qatar for this event. Doha, the capital city of Qatar has a hotel room capacity of 31,000. The 2nd anniversary of the EndSARS protest and the Lekki tollgate shooting, saw Nigerian youths taking a memorial walk down the Lekki toll gate. Some of the youths were carrying dummy coffins as they stage EndSARS memorial walk along the Lekki tollgate. Nigeria music star, rapper Falz and prolific comedian Mr Macaroni were among the youths.                                             Falz The peace walk was however interrupted by policemen who fired tear gas to disperse the gathering. Nasir El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State, while addressing the Arewa joint committee, in Kaduna, said that he would have arrested Mr Peter Obi in retaliation of what Peter Obi did to him when he visited the state to monitor an election. In a trending video, El-Rufai alleges that Peter Obi, the former Anambra State governor and the current presidential candidate of the Labour Party, placed him under house arrest for 48 hours in Anambra state during the election.
