Padma Lakshmi, ex wife to Salman Rushdie, is supporting her ex-husband in his recovery. On Friday, the famed author, Salman Rushdie was stabbed multiple times while on stage in New York City. The "Top Chef" star tweeted Sunday that she is "relieved" Rushdie is "pulling through after Friday's nightmare." Her tweet reads: "Worried and wordless, can finally exhale," Lakshmi also wrote in her tweet. "Now hoping for swift healing." Padma.
