Breaking! Plane Crash In Lagos

There is a video making the rounds on social media of an alleged plane crash in the city of Lagos.

What is reported to be small aircraft which cannot easily be identified is said to have crashed at Oba Akran and gone up in flames.

What appears to be two guys narrating what happened can be heard in the video below.

Today, Tuesday afteenoon, at the Oba Akran area of Ikeja, Lagos State, a helicopter crash occurred, close to a branch of the United Bank for Africa in the area. The chopper crashed into a building and went up in flames.

Four people narrowly escaped death

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services confirmed the incident.

The spokesperson for the agency, Amodu Shakiru, said,

“The helicopter crashed into a building but nobody died. The helicopter was used for training and it has four occupants on board. They had an escort motorised team that was following them on the ground during the training routine exercise which is the standard protocol.”

“The motorised team was the first to arrive at the scene. The occupants sustained varying degrees of injuries and are currently receiving medical attention. We will provide more details later."
